3 Purpose & Legal Basis
We process personal information for:
- Providing and improving the platform (contractual necessity).
- Facilitating bookings and payments (contract / consent).
- Sending transactional notifications (legitimate interest).
- Displaying profiles and reviews (consent for profile; legitimate interest for reviews).
- Complying with legal and tax obligations.
- Direct marketing only with your explicit opt‑in consent.
4 Sharing of Information
- Between Clients and Stylists: limited data (name, general location, contact details) as necessary for the booking.
- Payment Processor: PayFast (Pty) Ltd processes payments and may receive card data and transaction details. We do not store full card numbers.

5 Data Storage & Transfer
All personal information is stored on secure servers located in the Republic of South Africa. We do not transfer personal information outside South Africa unless a cloud backup replicates data to a foreign jurisdiction. In such cases, we ensure the destination country has adequate protection laws, or we implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) as required by POPIA.
4.6 Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption (SSL/TLS) in transit, encryption at rest, access controls, and secure server infrastructure. Banking details are encrypted.
7 Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active, or as required for legal and tax purposes. Booking records are kept for 5 years. Upon account closure, your public profile is removed; transactional records are archived.
