1 Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website [style2you.shop] and all services provided through the Style2You platform. By registering, accessing, or using the platform, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.
2 Definitions
Capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings given in our other policies.
- Platform: Style2You website, mobile site, and related services.
- Client: A registered user who books a service from a Stylist.
- Stylist: A registered user who offers beauty services through the platform.
- Booking: A reservation for a service at a specific date and time.
3 Registration
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Style2You may, at its sole discretion, suspend or terminate your account immediately and without prior notice for any breach of these Terms. We will endeavour to send an email notification of such action to the address linked to your account, but the suspension or termination takes effect immediately regardless of whether you receive the email.
4 User Conduct
You agree not to misuse the platform, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, harvest data, or use the platform for any unlawful purpose. You will not engage in harassment, hate speech, or any activity that damages the platform’s reputation.
5 Intellectual Property & User Content
- Platform IP: All content, code, graphics, logos, and trademarks on the platform are owned by or licensed to Style2You. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our prior written consent.
- Your Content (Clients and Stylists): By uploading photographs, bios, reviews, or any other content (“User Content”), you:
- Warrant that you own the User Content or have obtained all necessary rights, licences, and permissions (including from the photographer and any identifiable person in an image) to use and license it as described. You must not upload any image sourced from the internet, stock libraries, or social media unless you hold a valid commercial licence that permits sub‑licensing.
- Grant Style2You a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, worldwide, perpetual licence to use, display, reproduce, modify (e.g., resizing), and distribute your User Content in any media, including the platform, social media channels, email newsletters, digital advertising, and other promotional materials, for the purpose of operating, promoting, and marketing the platform. This licence survives termination of your account for archived content; we will, however, cease active promotional use upon your written request where reasonably feasible.
6 Third‑Party Services (PayFast)
Payment processing is provided by PayFast (Pty) Ltd, a PCI‑DSS Level 1 service provider. By using the platform’s payment features, you agree to comply with PayFast’s Merchant Terms and any applicable policies. In particular:
- PayFast may decline or reverse transactions for fraud, security, or non‑compliance.
- Refund processing times are subject to PayFast and the card‑issuing bank (see Payment & Commission Policy).
- Inaccurate address: If a Stylist cannot locate a Client due to an incorrect address provided, the booking will be treated as a Client no‑show, and no refund will be due.
7 Limitation of Liability
Style2You is a marketplace that connects Clients with independent Stylists. We do not employ Stylists and are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Style2You shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including personal injury or property damage, arising from your use of the platform or services booked through it.
8 Indemnity
You indemnify and hold Style2You harmless against any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your use of the platform, or your violation of any law or third‑party rights.
9 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Subject to our Dispute Resolution Policy, you consent to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
10 Changes
We may amend these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a platform notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
